Jennifer Yee

Jennifer Yee (B.A. Sydney, D.E.A. and D.Phil. Paris 7) is Associate Professor of French at the University of Oxford, and a Tutor and Fellow of Christ Church. She is the author of Clichés de la femme exotique: un regard sur la littérature coloniale française entre 1871 et 1914 (2000) and Exotic Subversions in Nineteenth-Century French Fiction (2008), as well as numerous articles on colonial literature, Indochina, and gender studies. She is also the co-editor of France and ‘Indochina’: Cultural Representations (2005). Her latest book, The Colonial Comedy: Imperialism in the French Realist Novel, was published with Oxford University Press in 2016.
