Derek C. Maus

Derek C. Maus is Professor of English and Communication at the State University of New York College at Potsdam. He specializes in twentieth- and twenty-first-century literature, particularly African American fiction, Russian literature in translation, and satire generally. He has published book-length studies on subversive satire during the Cold War, on Colson Whitehead, and on Percival Everett, as has co-edited volumes of new scholarship on Walter Mosley and on "post-soul" African American satire. He splits his time between Potsdam and Montréal.
