Completed my MA in English (American 20th Century) from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1996, Taught at North South University in Dhaka, Bangladesh from 2001 until 2006.
Completed my PhD in English (American Cultural Studies) from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale in 2012. Served as Chairperson of the Graduate and Professional Student Council from 2011-12.
Taught at Southeast Missouri State University from 2012 until 2017. Faculty Senate Chairperson from 2016-17.
Novel, Three Girls, published in 2006 in Dhaka, Bangladesh with funding from North South University.
Work as an independent scholar, editor and writer, from 2018 until the present. Currently writing a novel about racial purity and racism amidst a pandemic.
