Context

At the Battle of Sievershausen, Maurice of Saxony is killed in his effort to defeat Albrecht Alcibiades, Margrave of Brandenburg-Culmbach. Maurice has no descendents, and so the Electorate of Saxony passes to his brother Augustus.
