The Earl and Countess of Somerset (Robert Carr and Frances
Howard) are examined over their part in Sir Thomas Overbury's
murder of 1613. Overbury, who was found poisoned in September 1613,
had been a close friend of Robert Carr, but had opposed his affair
with Frances, who at that time was wife to the Earl of Essex.
