Faye Hammill is Professor of English at the University of Strathclyde, and has previously held posts at the universities of Liverpool and Cardiff. She is author of Literary Culture and Female Authorship in Canada (2003), Women, Celebrity and Literary Culture Between the Wars (2007), Canadian Literature (2007) and Sophistication: A Literary and Cultural History (2010) and is co-editor of Encyclopedia of British Women Writers 1900-1950 (2006).
