Having been freely available from 2000, The Literary Encyclopedia began requiring individual subscriptions in April 2006 and from September 2006 has offered institutional subscriptions. The Literary Encyclopedia has been fully evaluated in respect of scholarly and technical achievements and licensing terms by JISC Collections in the United Kingdom, who act as agents for us with the UK higher and further education community.

The Literary Encyclopedia is supplied free of charge to higher education institutions in countries where per capita income is below the world average. If you believe that your institution qualifies for free access, please contact the Managing Editor here.
