Sue Zlosnik is Professor of English at Manchester Metropolitan
University, where she is Head of the English Department.She has
published extensively on women's writing and on Gothic. With Avril
Horner, she is the author of three monographs, including Daphne du
Maurier: Writing,Identity and the Gothic Imagination (1998) and
Gothic and the Comic Turn (2005). They are also the editors of Le
Gothic (2008), a collection of essays about transatlantic
influences and connections in Gothic, and an edition of the 1813
novel The Heroine by Eaton Stannard Barrett (2010). Working alone,
she has published on a range of writers, including George Meredith,
Robert Louis Stevenson, J.R.R. Tolkien and Chuck Palahniuk. Her
monograph on Patrick McGrath is due to be published in 2011.
