G. Peter Winnington is the world authority on Mervyn Peake’s life and work. He edits Peake Studies (which is no longer a subscriber periodical; it's available for free) and has published both a biography of Peake (Mervyn Peake’s Vast Alchemies, 2009) and a critical study (The Voice of the Heart: the working of Mervyn Peake’s Imagination, 2006). He has edited books on Peake (Mervyn Peake: the man and his art, 2006 and Miracle Enough: papers on the works of Mervyn Peake, 2013) and many previously unpublished writings by Peake. Take a look at the Peake Studies website, where there is a full primary and secondary Peake bibliography.
