Mary O'Connell

Dr Mary O'Connell lectures part time in 18th and 19th century literature at the School of English, University College Cork. Her research interests include literature of the Romantic period, particularly Byron, the rise of the literary marketplace and the role of the publisher. She co-founded the Making Books, Shaping Readers research project and her current research is on the relationship between Byron and John Murray.
