Martha Carpentier

Martha C. Carpentier is Professor of English at Seton Hall University in New Jersey, USA, where she teaches courses in twentieth-century British, American, and Irish literature. She was the co-founder of the International Susan Glaspell Society in 2003 and past Vice-President and President of the Society, as well as the webmaster of the ISGS web site, an archive, bibliography, and blog of Glaspell scholarship and performances. She is the author of The Major Novels of Susan Glaspell (2001), and co-editor of Her America: “A Jury of Her Peers” and Other Stories by Susan Glaspell (2010) and Disclosing Intertextualities: The Stories, Plays, and Novels of Susan Glaspell (2006), as well as editor of Susan Glaspell: New Directions in Critical Inquiry, (2006) and co-editor with Emeline Jouve of Susan Glaspell’s Trifles and “A Jury of Her Peers”: Centennial Essays, Interviews and Adaptations, (2015).
