Henry Dicks is a postdoctoral researcher in the faculty of
philosophy at Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3. He completed a D.Phil
in modern French thought at the University of Oxford and is a
specialist in post-war French philosophy, particularly the French
reception of Heidegger and contemporary French philosophy of the
environment. His postdoctoral research, which is funded by La
Lyonnaise des Eaux, examines the relevance of philosophical and
poetical conceptions of water to questions of sustainable
development.
