Maria del Pilar Blanco

MarĂ­a del Pilar Blanco is University Lecturer in Spanish American Literature and Fellow & Tutor in Spanish at Trinity College, University of Oxford. She is the author of Ghost-Watching American Modernity: Haunting, Landscape, and the Hemispheric Imagination (Fordham University Press, 2012) and co-editor, with Esther Peeren, of The Spectralities Reader: Ghosts and Haunting in Contemporary Cultural Theory (Bloomsbury, 2013) and Popular Ghosts: The Haunted Spaces of Everyday Culture (Continuum, 2010). Her current project explores the intersections between literature and science in late nineteenth-century Latin America.
