Cesare Borgia dies at the age of 31. After his father Pope
Alexander VI's death in 1503, his power had collapsed and, exiled
to Spain, he had been imprisoned in the castle of La Mota at Medina
del Campo. He managed to escape and join his brother-in-law, King
John III of Navarre, and he died in his service, besieging the town
of Viana.
