Context

Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I, Henry VIII of England, Ferdinand I of Aragon and Pope Leo X sign the Treaty of Mechlin, forming an alliance for a joint invasion of France. As part of this treaty, the Netherlands are declared neutral.
