In Switzerland, the civil war is ended by the first Peace of
Kappel. By the terms of this agreement, the defeated Catholic
Cantons agree to dissolve their alliance with Austria, and both
sides promise not to attack the each again. However, these promises
did not last long, since conflict was to break out again only two
years later, in 1531.
