Anne Boleyn, mistress of King Henry VIII, is created Marchioness
of Pembroke. This move shows Henry becoming more willing to make
public expressions of his relationship with her, in anticipation of
an imminent divorce from Catherine of Aragon, allowing him to make
Anne his wife and Queen.
