The rulers of the Holy Roman Emperor meet at a sitting of the Diet
of Worms. The Protestant princes express dissatisfaction at the
terms of the general church council summoned by Pope Paul III.
However, Charles V refuses their calls for an independent,
permanent religious settlement for Germany.
