Short Note This is a short note

War in Scotland between the Regent and the faction in favour of Mary Queen of Scots is ended by a treaty known as the Pacification of Perth. Peace is not immediate, however, since Marian supporters Kircaldy and Maitland hold out in Edinburgh Castle until May.
