Short Note This is a short note

The Jesuit representative Father Creighton is arrested, revealing to the English government a conspiracy known as the Catholic Enterprise, the collaboration of Philip II of Spain, Governor of the Netherlands the Duke of Parma, and the Duke of Guise. Like so many previous plots, it sought to depose Elizabeth I and replace her on the throne with Mary Queen of Scots.
