James I dissolves the English Parliament. It met on 18th
November 1621, and had been antagonistic towards the King, calling
for him to join in the Thirty Years War against Spain. Conscious of
the risks involved in this criticism, it also made a Protestation
challenging his right to arrest MPs, but this was unsuccessful
since it actually led to the imprisonment of Sir Edward Coke.
