In Britain, prime minister Charles Grey is forced to resign on the
demand of William IV. The King has lost confidence in Grey over his
three failed attempts to pass a bill for electoral reform. However,
the Duke of Wellington is unable to form an administration, and
Grey is recalled within a week.
