US Congress amends tariff of Jury 1832

Short Note This is a short note

In an attempt to appease South Carolina, the American Congress passes the Clay Tariff, an amended version of that passed the previous July. It also passes the Force Act, authorising the President to use armed force to collect revenues if necessary.
