The London Conference between Britain, Russia, France, Austria and Prussia fails to reach agreement about a solution to the problem of Schleswig-Holstein, partly through Prussian minister Bismarck's deliberately antagonistic policy. The following day, war resumes between Denmark and a joint force of Prussia and Austria.
