Short Note This is a short note

Since Charles I dare not give battle against the superior Scottish army, he signs the Pacification of Berwick to end the First Bishops' War and returns to London. Under the terms of the treaty the Scots are to disband their army, while Charles undertakes to refer ecclesiastical and civil affairs to a General Assembly and Parliament respectively.
