The Franco-Moroccan war which had begun the previous month is ended by the Treaty of Tangiers. By the terms of this document, Morocco agrees to arrest Algerian resistance leader Abd al-Qadir, and form a commission to establish the precise location of the border between Morocco and French Algeria.
