Kaffir War in South Africa

Short Note This is a short note

In South Africa, war breaks out between the British and the Xhosa people (then known as Kaffirs), who attempt unsuccessfully to regain control of their land. At the end of the war, in 1879, all their territory is subsumed into the British-controlled Cape Colony.
