Short Note This is a short note

The battle was fought over the division of the Carolingian Empire between the three surviving sons of Louis the Pious. It ended in the defeat of the allied forces of Lothair I of Italy and Pepin II of Aquitaine by the army of Charles the Bald and Louis the German.
