Virginia Mason Vaughan

Virginia Mason Vaughan is Professor Emerita and Research Professor of English at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts. She is the author of Othello: A Contextual History, Performing Blackness on English Stages, 1500-1800, and The Tempest in Manchester University Press's Shakespeare in Performance series. She is the co-author (with Alden T. Vaughan) of Shakespeare's Caliban: A Cultural History and the co-editor of The Tempest for the Third Arden Series (also with Alden T. Vaughan). Her most recent publications include Antony and Cleopatra in Arden's Language and Writing series and Shakespeare and the Gods for Arden Shakespeare.
