Julie Waddington

Before joining the University of Girona in 2009, Julie Waddington taught at the Manchester Metropolitan University. Her degree in Cultural Studies (Sheffield University) and PhD on the legacy of tragedy in Sarah Kane (MMU) shaped her teaching and research interests during this period (2000-2008), which focused on literary studies, critical theory and contemporary philosophy. She now teaches in the Faculty of Education and Psychology of the University of Girona, where she focuses her practice on the teaching of English as a foreign language. Her research interests continue to be underpinned by a critical theory/cultural studies approach and now extend to the area of teaching English as second language.
