Elizabeth M. Sturgeon

Elizabeth M. Sturgeon is the Interim Assistant Provost and Professor of English at Mount St. Mary's University in Los Angeles. She has published on Renaissance Humanism, Tudor historiography, classical rhetoric, The Mirror for Magistrates, and teaching freshman composition focused on problems and controversies, particularly, the Abu Ghraib Prison scandal. She has designed online integrative scholarship classses about Graphic Novels, Mental Health, Human Trafficking, and Global Shakespeares. Her research interests intersect early modern historiography, post-modern literary theory, digital literacies, student-centered pedagogies, accreditation, and assessment. She continues to work on her first book, Ghostly Speech: Writing History and Reading Literature in "The Mirror for Magistrates" (Mellen Publishing).
