Clinton John Machann

Clinton Machann is Professor of English at Texas A&M University (See profile). Among his publications in the field of British literature and culture are Matthew Arnold: A Literary Life (1998), The Genre of Autobiography in Victorian Literature (1994), and The Essential Matthew Arnold: An Annotated Bibliography of Major Modern Studies (1993). Currently he is working on a book that focuses on the poetry of Alfred Tennyson, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Arthur Hugh Clough, and Robert Browning. He has also published in the fields of American ethnic studies and Slavic Studies, and he is editor of Kosmas, an English-language journal that specializes in Czech, Slovak, and Central European Studies.
