Kathy Behrendt is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada. She received her D.Phil. from the University of Oxford, and has taught both there and in Canada. She has published in the areas of personal identity and the self, memory, emotions, and death. Her article, "Scraping Down the Past", on Sebald, memory, and the narrative view of the self can be found in the journal Philosophy and Literature, vol. 34 no. 2, October 2010.
