Julie Hansen

Julie Hansen is Associate Professor of Slavic Languages at the Department of Modern Languages, Uppsala University, and also Research Fellow at the Uppsala Centre for Russian and Eurasian Studies, Uppsala University. She received a Ph.D. in Slavic Literatures and Languages from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She specializes in 20th- and 21st-century literature from Central and Eastern Europe. Her research interests include the Russian Symbolist movement, literature of exile and migration, literary translingualism, and memory theory within the context of literary studies.
