Corinne François Denève

Corinne François - Denève is a former student of the ENS, Paris, where she specialized in Comparative Literature. She wrote a dissertation on "actress narratives" in Europe in late 19th century-early 20th century. She also worked as a research assistant in Liverpool from 2006-2008, for the "French India project". Her research now focuses on the first world war and.... humour. After teaching in Stockholm, Cambridge, Reims, the Sorbonne and the Sorbonne Nouvelle, she is now lecturer in 19th French Literature in Versailles Saint Quentin University. She is a member of the Centre d'Histoire Culturelle des Sociétés Contemporaines.
