John Porter

John Porter is an associate professor in the Department of History at the University of Saskatchewan, where he has taught since 1989. He has degrees in Classics from the University of Washington (B.A.) and the University of Toronto (M.A., Ph.D.), where he was fortunate enough to work with the late Desmond Conacher. His principal research interests include Greek and Roman dramatic literature, the Greek orators, and the interplay between literature and social history.
