Dennis Pausch

Dennis Pausch taught Classics at Gießen University from 2000 to 2011. During this time and during his research stay in Edinburgh as Feodor Lynen Fellow of the Humboldt Foundation he wrote his first book (Biographie und Bildungskultur: Personendarstellungen bei Plinius dem Jüngeren, Gellius und Sueton, Berlin: de Gruyter 2004) and his second book (Livius und der Leser: Narrative Strukturen in Ab urbe condita, München: Beck 2011), which was awarded the Bruno Snell Prize of the Mommsengesellschaft in 2011. After three years as a teaching professor at the University of Regensburg, he now holds the chair of Latin at the Technische Universität Dresden.
