Jena Whitaker

Jena Whitaker is an Assistant Professor of French Language and Literature (Fixed Term) at Michigan State University in the Department of Romance and Classical Studies.  Her research interests include translation theory, 19th and 20th-century French poetry (Nerval, Baudelaire, Mallarmé, Bonnefoy, Deguy), modernity, theories of technology, the digital humanities, printing and publishing, and the intersections of philosophy and literature. She received her M.A. in French Language and Literature from Florida State University in 2011 and her Ph.D from Johns Hopkins University in 2018.
