Aurélie Journo

Aurélie Journo is lecturer in Anglophone Literatures at the University of Paris XVIII. Her main research focuses on contemporary anglophone literature from Kenya and Nigeria. She has published several articles on contemporary Kenyan literature. Her PhD dissertation (2014) analyzed the emergence and development of the Kenyan literary journal Kwani ?.

The literary journal as a medium and its history in Africa is one of her current fields of research, along with the sociology of literature and the analysis of literary networks and sociability.
