Mary Bateman

Mary Bateman is a doctoral researcher, co-supervised by Professor Ad Putter (Bristol) and Dr Robert Gossedge (Cardiff). Her doctoral thesis, funded by the AHRC via the South West and Wales Doctoral Training Partnership, explores the localised representation of Arthurian legend between 1436 and 1622. Her research interests are varied, but include Anglo-Norman literature, Arthurian literatures and their reception, book history in the late medieval and Early Modern periods, romance literature, and the medieval carol.
