Nuria Cruz Cámara

Nuria Cruz Cámara is a Professor of Hispanic Studies at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She specializes in 20th-century Spanish women's writings, with a special interest in feminist discourses and the construction of the modern woman. She has published two books: El laberinto intertextual de Carmen Martín Gaite (Juan de la Cuesta, 2008) and La mujer moderna en los escritos de Federica Montseny (Tamesis, 2015), as well as over twenty refereed journal articles. She is currently studying the representation of women in Spanish illustrated magazines from the 1920s and 1930s, such as Estampa and Crónica.
