Victoria Shirley

Victoria Shirley received her PhD in English Literature from Cardiff University in 2018. She is currently preparing a monograph on the transmission, translation, and critical reception of Geoffrey of Monmouth’s Historia regum Britanniae in England, Scotland, and Wales from 1138 to 1530. She has recently published a journal article in Viator (2021), and contributed a chapter to The Companion to Geoffrey of Monmouth (Brill, 2020). She is interested in medieval historical writing in Latin and vernacular languages, national identity, and literary geography.
