Karen von Kunes

Karen von Kunes is in charge of Czech studies at Yale University. She is the author and coauthor of many books and publications in the field of literature, film, language and culture. Her most recent scholarly books are Milan Kundera’s Fiction: A Critical Approach to Existential Betrayals, and Routledge Czech: An Essential Grammar. She is a Contributing Editor of Plamen Press, and a reviewer for Slavic Review, as well as for the Czech Science Foundation. For years, she was a regular contributor to The Prague Post, and currently she contributes to a variety of professional journals. Her innovative book on Czech, and a monograph on Milos Forman are scheduled to be published by 2023.
