Licia Canton is an Italian-Canadian author, editor, translator, and researcher. Since the 1990s, Canton has pursued literary publications and community arts and education projects. She has also made significant contributions to research in the fields of Canadian literature, Italian-Canadian cultural production, Québecois literature, translation, and multilingualism. , a print (until 2014) and online (active) cultural platform that features news and stories from the Italian-Canadian community and beyond. Canton is a former president of the Association of Italian-Canadian Writers (2010-14, 2021-22) and has been awarded a number of prizes for her work in literature and community media.
