The Country Where No One Ever Dies

] is Ornela Vorpsi’s first published work in Italian. Born in Tirana, Albania, in 1968, Vorpsi moved to Italy in 1991 and pursued her studies in art at the Accademia di Brera. In 1997 she moved to Paris, where she still resides as a naturalized citizen. Although the book was written in Italian, it initially appeared in French translation in 2004 before being published in Italy by Einaudi in 2005 (it was reprinted in 2018 by the press
