Having been expelled from Scotland after the Treaty of Ayton, Perkin Warbeck arrived in Cork at the invitation of Sir James Ormond. However, as a result of Ormond's death, he found little support there, and subsequently sailed for Cornwall (landing there 7 Sept.).
